In an Amazon’s internal blog post in 2004 - Tour de Babel, Steve Yegge wrote about his takes on different computer languages.
I found the article fascinatingly overwhelming and inspiring as the knowledge and passion are way beyond my comprehension. It reminds me to embrace not-knowing, to constantly search for new experience and develop opinions. It is a read that I’ll keep coming back to, knowing I’ll learn something new each time.
If you happen to stumble upon this post, I strongly suggest reading Tour the Babel from start to finish. You’ll come out a new programmer - for the better or worse.
Update: I take back my words. Don’t just read the article, read the whole archive. They are equally awesome.
